Rumors of a "23 Jumpstreet" and "Men In Black" crossover has surfaced several times in the news. During these times, no confirmation was given and actors of these movies only gave hints of a hopeful and positive wishful thinking when asked about the possibility.

It can be recalled in a 2014 leaked e-mail that Jonah Hill commented on the supposed crossover saying: "Jump street merging with mib i think that's clean and rad and powerful," The Verge reported.

But just a few days ago, leak of some information regarding the helming of the said films were proven by sources. The Source cited that although the project is yet to be green lit, cast members joining are none other than Schimdt and Jenko themselves, played by Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. While others might think that Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will reprise their roles as Agents Kay and Jay, the idea was shrugged off as a new franchise for the "Men In Black" will be out in the future. That means reboot of the alien-populated movie with younger actors playing the agent roles. This could also mean introduction of the new Agent Jay and Kay of MIB.

Though Tatum and Hill will be playing their original roles, the original directors of the Jumpstreet franchise are expected to step out of their duties, The Verge reported. According to the report, Phil Lord and Chris Miller will only be producing the upcoming merger due to schedule conflicts in directing a spinoff "Han Solo Star Wars" movie.

eading the directorial duties is "The Muppets" director James Bobin, who also did directing in the forthcoming "Alice In Wonderland" sequel. With no official announcement yet, IGN reported that production will hopefully start by June.

Crossover films are never really new to Hollywood, and fans have widely accepted several movies shown before in theaters.
