Initial reports indicate that Huawei had officially announced a March 9 press event in Berlin, where it is expected to unveil its most recent and highly-anticipated flagship smartphone, Huawei P9; recent reports, however, suggest that the March 9 press event is not pushing through and now, a regular tipster said that the launch is moved to April 6.

In its report, GSM Arena said that over the weekend, regular tipster Evan Blass or @evleaks revealed that Huawei P9 is coming on April 6, instead of March 9.

In his Twitter post, the tipster said, "Huawei P9 launches Wednesday, April 6th."

A few hours after, however, Evan Blass sidetracked his announcement and made it more of a guideline. He posted: "UPDATE: I was told a number of days, not an exact date; may have done the calculation wrong. Will inquire."

Apparently this is not the first time that an information has leaked about the much-awaited flagship smartphone as previously, several renders, sets of live images have circulated around the Web about the specs and features of Huawei P9.

In its report, Tech Times said that Huawei P9 will come not just a single model but a whole line of devices, four models of Huawei P9 altogether. The new line of devices, accordingly, will include the standard Huawei P9, a Huawei P9 Max and a Huawei P9 Lite. The last and fourth model, according to the report, will have a larger screen but a smaller screen than the P9 Max's, which will be a 6-inch display. The fourth model will also have an extra RAM to boot.

The report added that Huawei P9 will be powered by a Snapdragon 650 SoC backed by 2 GB RAM and a default storage of 16 GB. It will have dual cameras on the back and a fingerprint scanner.
