After six episodes without the titular "New Girl", Jess is finally back and that means the story arc of Reagan (played by Megan Fox) is coming to an end.
Even without Jess, the show has become a great case on how a TV series could deal with some shakeup in order to get their viewers interested. Megan Fox's character according to Atlantic, "Reagan was like a new viewer tuning into the show, initially savaging it with withering criticism, but then slowly coming around to its charms."
The latest episode of "New Girl" revolves on four different story lines and cramming them in just a single episode was a challenge but ultimately gave fans a much needed reintroduction of Jess. With Jess finally back in the apartment, Reagan has to leave and Nick face a situation (in his case, really awkward) on how to say goodbye to Reagan.
The episode title "Goosebumps Walkway" according to Schmidt is the line a guy says to a girl before he walks away forever. Jess may be back but she still has something from Jury duty that needs to be done: track down a cute member of the jury. Meanwhile, Schmidt and Cece goes to dancing practice with Winston showing his skills on the dance floor.
The upcoming episode is titled "The Apartment" and hints of the gang getting back to their status quo with one interesting addition. The Futon Critic has posted the following plot of the upcoming episode:
"It's time for Cece to move into the loft. While Jess is helping her friend move out of her beloved apartment, she has to finish the school's budget by morning, which the new principal (guest star Elizabeth Berkley) has neglected to tell her. Meanwhile, Winston gets a new partner (guest star Sam Richardson) to avoid having to work side-by-side with Aly (guest star Nasim Pedrad)."
