Being obese is never easy. It increases your risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and certain types of cancer. It leads to premature death, and it significantly lowers quality of life.

Thus, a new weight loss injectable that is set to become available in the market once it's officially approved may be a miracle wonder-at least in the United Kingdom.

Novo Nordisk, a company that is based in Denmark, is the producer of Liraglutide, a supposed wonder drug that packs twice the power as other weight loss medications including Orlistat. In fact, it's incredibly powerful that a person can lose as much as 19 pounds in only a year without going through some rigorous exercise or diet plan.

This has been proven during the clinical trial participated by both obese men and women. About a third of the volunteers dropped over 22 pounds, which is equivalent to two sizes.

That's not the only effect of the drug. It also has the ability to control a person's blood pressure as it introduces good cholesterol into the bloodstream.

The body can have both good and bad cholesterol, though how they work is opposite of each other. While the bad cholesterol narrows the passageway because of plaque build-up, good cholesterol acts as a cleaner. By allowing the blood to circulate properly, blood pressure becomes more manageable.

This injectable may be used for hypertensive patients and make them less dependent of prescription. They can even ditch them finally.

It can also prevent or at least reduce the risk of diabetes by keeping glucose levels under control.

The drug is said to trick the brain into thinking that the person is already satiated. In turn, a person eats at least 10% less than he or she is used to.

But how much does this cost once it's already in the market? It's expected to be worth almost $3 a day, and it should be injected every morning before breakfast. It's also going to be prescription.
