Bobbi Kristina Brown's family has released an official statement on her condition after she was found unresponsive in her bath tub over the weekend. The 21-year old Bobbi is the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.

The family released a  statement on Monday, "Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family. As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support."

Bobbi Kristina's rumored husband and friend reportedly found her unresponsive in a bath tub in their home. However, the lawyer of Bobby Brown, Bobbi's father, denied rumors that the two got married. Apparently, Nick Gordon is her step brother because he is Houston's adoptive son.

According to Daily Mail, Bobbi was placed on ventilator and tests showed that her brain function is alarmingly low, prompting the family to transfer her to another hospital on Tuesday. She is now in Atlanta's Emory University Hospital but is still in a serious condition after suffering from a series of seizures.

In a similar scenario, on February 11, 2012, Whitney Houston was found face down in a bath tub full of water. Ironically, Bobbi was found in the same state but was still alive as her partner, Nick performed CPR before paramedics came.

The family is still tight lipped on the cause of the emergency and her current condition. Bobby Brown appeals to everyone to give her daughter their love and support.

Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum, a cardiologist and director of the Women's Heart Health of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City told ET, "It's really about protecting the organs and making sure oxygen is delivered to both the brain and the heart." She explained why Bobbie needed to be placed on a ventilator.

A source close to the family told ET that the family and her father were told to prepare for the worst since she is still in a medically induced coma. Local police searched the house for possible evidence of the cause of her condition. Reports say that she suffered from drug overdose but a confirmation is still on its way.
