Another children's book perhaps for the coming sweetheart?

Award-winning novelist and author of the "Sandman" series Neil Gaiman announces the pregnancy of his wife, songwriter Amanda Palmer, via Instagram with a photo and he is very excited!

After the death of close friend and collaborator Terry Pratchett, it seems like Neil Gaiman could spare good news for his millions of followers and he did. The multi-awarded writer of science fiction, novels and comic books announced recently via Twitter and Instagram that he and his beloved wife are expecting their first child.

Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman announced they were dating in 2009, and were engaged a year after. In 2011, they got married surrounded with friends and family. Amanda is three months pregnant, and Neil is father to three children --- Michael, Holly and Madeleine --- with his ex-wife Mary McGrath.

Amanda Palmer is an American songwriter-performer who first appeared as the lead singer in the duo the Dresden Dolls. The couple's first baby is due in September.

Meanwhile, Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" movie adaptation is progressing, according to the screenplay writer, David S. Goyer. In an interview with Deadline, he shared "I hesitate to definitively say when it might go before the cameras, but the one thing different between other iterations and ours is that Neil Gaiman has been in the room with us and is a vital part of the team... We have a draft Warners is very happy with and we're moving forward, knock on wood."

Joseph Gordon-Levitt also talked about the movie adaptation and excitedly so. According to Reddit, "Been doing a lot of work with David Goyer and Jack Thorne, working on the screenplay," shared Levitt. "We've been doing our meetings at the DC office, which is a frickin rad place to work. Also just had a great conversation last week with David and Mr. Gaiman. Neil has been extremely big hearted with me, and he's the one I want to please most."
