Ryan Gosling joins Harrison Ford in "Blade Runner 2" movie!
Latest news reveals "Gangster Squad" star Ryan Gosling in talks to star in the upcoming sequel to the 1982 film "Blade Runner." Starring alongside the original lead, Harrison Ford, "Blade Runner 2" details have been revealed!
After being seen in Disneyland with "Crimson Peak" director Guillermo del Toro, Ryan Gosling news reveals that the actor is in talks to star in "Blade Runner 2," appearing alongside the legendary, Harrison Ford.
The report by Slash Film revealed, "Alcon Entertainment announced today that Gosling is in negotiations for the movie. Ford will reprise his role as Rick Deckard from the 1982 classic, but details on Gosling's character have not been revealed. We do know it will take place 'several decades' after the original."
While "Prometheus" director Ridley Scott is no longer set to direct the "Blade Runner 2" movie, he has signed on as an executive producer of the sequel. "Blade Runner 2" screenplay will be written by "Blade Runner" original writers Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, based on the 1968 novel of Philip K. Dick, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sleep?"
Denis Villeneuve who is known for his work in "Prisoners" (2013) and his latest Cannes entry, "Sicario" (2015) will be directing "Blade Runner 2" for Alcon Entertainment. Harrison Ford on the other hand, has reportedly agreed to reprise his role in "Blade Runner 2" as Rick Deckard.
"Blade Runner" is a 1982 film that focuses on Deckard (Harrison Ford) and the synopsis reads, "[Deckard] is forced by the police Boss to continue his old job as a Replicant Hunter. His assignment: eliminate four escaped Replicants from the colonies who have returned to Earth. Before starting the job, Deckard goes to the Tyrell Corporation and he meets Rachel (Sean Young), a Replicant girl he falls in love with."
