"Spider-Man Unlimited" game has introduced new characters in its lineup. Gameloft developer Tatiana Nahai talked about Silver Sable, Monster Spiders and the game's special events.
"We're definitely extremely excited to be bringing the first female villain into 'Spider-Man Unlimited,'" Nahai told Marvel.com.
"Unlike the Inheritors and Sinister Six, there's a conflicted element to Sable; her number one priority as a mercenary is to make money to fund her homeland, so outsiders often view her as swaying between the sides of good and bad, and you can definitely feel that in the story we're bringing around her."
She added that Spider-Man was "pretty shocked" when he learned that Silver Sable was working for the Sinister Six. Moreover, he is going to convince her that she is making a huge mistake, which is a completely new dynamic with the superhero and villain.
Tatiana Nahai also explained the idea of Monster Spiders. She told the website that it was developed by Gameloft and Marvel writer Fred Van Lente was the one who worked on the actual implementation. Players will be starting the update with Spider-X and end it with Tarantula, the previous form of Scarlet Spider.
"We love the idea of dark and evil Spider-Men; when you have a multiverse storyline with unlimited possibilities, you know there are some really crazy possibilities for Spider-Men out there," Nahai explained.
"But because the dimensional Sinister Six is attacking each dimension, they've isolated Spider-Men who might have been dark or evil in the past, and now they have no choice but to join forces with the side of good."
Players can expect a lot of special events for the "Spider-Man Unlimited" game such as Clash of Spiders events, where they can combine forces with Amazing Spider-Man or Superior Spider-Man's team. Multi-day events around Silver Sable and Spider-X as well as special holiday-themed events will be coming soon to the game.
