Ariana Grande and Big Sean split after eight months of dating. Now, it seems like the "Break Free" singer is cozying up to ex-boyfriend Nathan Sykes, of the British boy band The Wanted.
In an interview with Wonder Wall, Nathan Sykes admitted that he is taking a break from The Wanted in order to make his own music. He also revealed that he is still keeping in touch with Ariana.
"It's like; when some things don't work out they don't work out. Long distances and stuff like that," the English singer and songwriter said. "On different schedules and touring in different parts of the world. It's like sometimes it doesn't happen so easily."
Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes dated from August to December of 2013. Although they dated for a couple of months, there were reports that Ariana was still hung up on her first boyfriend, Jai Brooks, while she was with The Wanted member.
"Nathan was a moment in time during heartbreak because she ultimately still loved Jai," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "Jai was her first everything and that is a very hard thing to break off from, especially for Ariana."
This might be the reason why Ari was spotted with Brooks on May 1, 2014 and confirmed that they were back together. However, they split three months later for the second time. After which, the "Bang Bang" singer dated rapper Big Sean.
"I'm painfully single. So single it hurts," Sykes revealed.
Ariana Grande and Big Sean's breakup was allegedly about a crude line in a song from the rapper's latest album "Dark Sky Paradise." Reps for both artists have said, though, that they decided to part ways because of their conflicting tour schedules.
It was also previously reported that Ariana Grande and Big Sean do not want anything to do with each other. However, the rapper reportedly had wanted to stay in the relationship but felt that the singer was not making an effort to fight for their love.
