A gameplay footage for "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" 3DS has been released by ShonenGamez in their official YouTube channel.
The demo of the game gives players the option to choose from Free Battle and Versus Battle modes. Free Battle allows players to pick three "Battle Characters," from Goku, Kid Gohan, Vegeta and Majin Buu. The demo in "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" 3DS has five different stages to choose from.
A minute and half through the video, a match-up between Goku and Vegeta are shown. Goku is seen busting out his Kaioken move and beat Vegeta for an easy win. However, the next fight showed more of Vegeta's fighting skills against Majin Buu.
Vegeta unleashed a melee combo against Majin Buu and directly connected it to what seemed to be his "Burst Strike" attack with a Final Flash, which dealt some devastating damage. Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta will appear in "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" 3DS.
Majin Buu's tricky moves are shown about four minutes to the footage where he finally got his revenge against Vegeta. However, Vegeta switched to another Majin Buu character, similar to "Marvel vs. Capcom" games.
"Energy battles" are still part of the game, as seen in the previous "Butoden" games. One character will be able to shoot a Kamehameha while the other can shoot a Final Flash in order to defeat the opponent. "Ultimate Arts" and "Z Assist" can be used by players as well.
It was previously reported that "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" will feature more than a hundred fighters, playable for one-on-one and team battle modes. Trunks, Krillin, Frieza, Majin Buu and Broly can be used by players.
Main characters Goku (Base, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan God), Teen Gohan (Base, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2), Ultimate Gohan (Base, Super Saiyan) and Vegeta (Base, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 4) are also playable.
"Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" 3DS will be shipped to Japan in Jun. 11.
