“Dancing with the Stars” season 21 just might feature Caitlyn Jenner.
Since the ABC dance show’s ratings have reportedly continued to sink despite Rumer Willis’ consistently winning performance throughout the competition, it is predicted that the transgender’s participation in “DWTS” might be precisely what it needs to boost its viewership.
Caitlyn was formerly known as the former Olympian, Bruce Jenner – the father of Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Being part of today’s most famous reality TV family, he shocked the world when he came out as a transgender woman in April – after his attempts at dodging revelations regarding his transition process.
Jenner’s tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer had reportedly amassed 18 million viewers in just one single episode. That said, ABC is well aware of Jenner’s potential to reel in significant ratings when “Dancing with the Stars” season 21 returns.
“Why not?” “DWTS” judge and pro dancer Tony Dovolani said during his appearance on the Wendy Williams Show, according to Ecumenical News. “We are groundbreaking people. I think she is going to inspire a lot of people out there.” After all, Caitlyn’s participation in “DWTS” will not be the first time for the show to feature the dancing chops of a transgender woman as Chaz Bono has also been part of it in one of the previous seasons.
Apart from Caitlyn, rumor has it that his son-in-law, Kim Kardashian’s younger brother, Rob Kardashian, will also be joining "Dancing with the Stars" season 21 for the second time around. He had once been part of the show in “DWTS” season 13. Apparently, Rob was very happy during his time on the ABC dance show. “Rob has not ruled it out,” admitted an insider. He just has to focus on losing more of his weight if he is going to take the show seriously.
Other stars who just might join Caitlyn and Rob in “Dancing with the Stars” season 21 cast are Jamie Chung, Marilu Henner, Steve Ballmer, Amber Rose, Jalen Rose, Demi Moore, and Amanda Bynes.
