“Fifty Shades Darker” has just been confirmed to also be featured in a spinoff novel written in Christian Grey’s point of view.
Thankfully for fans of the raunchy franchise, it was EL James, herself, who said that she was going to release the franchise’s second novel in the much requested POV.
“I will most likely write ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ from Christian’s point of view,” James said during her interview with Lyss Stern of “Divamoms," according to Pulse. “It was not that hard to write from Christian’s perspective once I got started.”
James had recently launched “Grey” – which is actually pretty much the same with “Fifty Shades of Grey” only that it was told in the eyes of the titular BDSM addict. Despite the negative reviews of this project, though, “Grey” managed to break a few records still.
With regards to the film adaptation of “Fifty Shades Darker,” rumor has it that the franchise is going to bring in even bigger actors, in addition to Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson. As reported by News Everyday, film makers might reel in the “Man of Steel” himself, Henry Cavill.
According to the rumor mill, Cavill is presently being eyed to take on the role of Jack Hyde – the boss of Anastasia Steele, played by Johnson – who will later become a villain in the storyline. In “Fifty Shades Darker,” Anastasia will be working under Jack’s watchful eye as his assistant. Unfortunately, Jack instantly becomes attracted to her and will later even attempt to sexually assault her. He would have been successful in his heinous intentions, if not for Anastasia’s skills in combat, as taught by her stepfather who used to be a soldier.
What might end up surprising for fans is that “Fifty Shades Darker” might have an alternate ending – one that is unlike the ending that was told in the source material. This second installment will reportedly be more of a thriller and will include even more intimate scenes between Christian and Anastasia.
