"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" full has become the top film in the franchise.
Anime News Network reported that "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" full has earned a total of 2.02 billion yen since Aug. 25. 1.56 million Tickets have been sold since its Aug. 7 premiere in Japan, surpassing the 2 billion total of "The Last: Naruto the Movie."
The film has earned 145.8% more than its predecessor. It has outpaced the previous film as early as its first weekend. It will premiere in North America on Oct. 10.
The story revolves around Boruto and Sarada Uchiha, Sasuke and Sakura's daughter. In an effort to surpass his father, Naruto, Boruto goes to Sasuke to be trained. A new mysterious character named Mitsuki, joined the new Team 7.
It has been revealed that Mitsuki is Orochimaru's son, further sparking speculations that he would eventually become a villain in the story. Himawari Uzumaki may also turn evil, as depicted in "Naruto Special Gaiden."
Yuko Sanpei is playing Boruto while Sarada is portrayed by Kokoro Kikuchi. Junko Takeuchi is reprising his role as Naruto Uzumaki and Noriaki Sugiyama is returning to portray Sasuke Uchiha. Ryūichi Kijima has also been casted as Mitsuki, the new mysterious ninja.
"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" full is now the highest earning film in the anime franchise. However, it may be surpassed once again by a live-adaptation of the anime series.
According to Movie News Guide, Lionsgate is currently negotiating for a live-adaptation of the "Naruto" anime series. Michael Gracey will reportedly direct the film and will be produced by Avi Arad.
"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" full villains Momoshiki and Kinshiki of the Otsutsuki Clan may also be featured in another live-action film under Lionsgate. In the movie, Boruto, Sarada, Naruto and Sasuke fought against Kinshiki and Momoshiki.
Momoshiki has the ability to absorb chakra, which renders attacks useless. Kinshiki, on the other hand, sacrificed himself so that Momoshiki can gain more powers to fight off Naruto and the other ninjas.
