"Dragon Ball Super" episode 14 saw the conclusion of the series' "Battle of Gods" saga.
The latest installment of the anime finally saw the end of the "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods" saga. The epic fight between Super Saiyan God Goku and God of Destruction Beerus was said to have had an explosive ending.
According to Attack of the Fanboy, some fans said that "Dragon Ball Super" episode 14 managed to still add excitement to the "Battle of Gods." Goku and Beerus continued their fight up in space.
The two Gods also battled their way to Earth and even fought underwater. Then, they go back up to space. Beerus was able to flick Goku's head and the Super Saiyan God fell.
It looked like the fight was over but Goku managed to find the strength to fight the God of Destruction, as a Super Saiyan. The battle ended when Goku sent a Kamehameha wave to combat Beerus' neutron bombs.
This resulted to a big explosion that transformed into a fiery ball headed towards Earth. The Super Saiyan used all his energy to punch it and saved the planet once again. He fell back to Earth.
Beerus, on the other hand, is still alive. He vowed to come back and destroy the Earth. Whis transported the exhausted God of Destruction, who admitted that he enjoyed the fight, back to his home planet.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 14 ended with Goku eating his heart out. This concluded the anime's "Battle of Gods" story arc.
Kpopstarz reported that fans were outraged over the series' slow pacing, which took 14 episodes to retell a movie that is just an hour and a half long. Several fans commented on Kanzenshuu that "Dragon Ball Super" was moving really slow.
"'Super's' pacing is horrible," user precita wrote.
"[It's] literally 14 episodes to cover what the movie did in an hour and half. Even if you exclude the first two episodes since they were new material not in the movie, that's still about 12 episodes."
