The "Deadpool" movie adaptation will stay true to the comic book version, to the delight of fans.
Comicbook.com reported that the film's director, Tim Miller, has promised that the R-rated "Deadpool" movie will be the "most comic book-accurate movie ever." This means that Ryan Reynolds will keep his headgear on throughout the film.
"It's an origin story but it's got enough curves and twists to make it fresh and unique," Miller told The Bootleg Universe Pitch Show, "but it's also very true to the comic."
Tim Miller added that the "Deadpool" movie will see the anti-hero's mask on the whole time, unlike some live-action versions of superheroes. The Merc with a Mouth's ability to say everything in his head (as well as consistently breaking the fourth wall) definitely helps the audience know what he's feeling at any given moment.
"If Deadpool were a different type of character, it would be difficult to portray emotion," he said. "But Deadpool is running at the mouth the whole time. You almost don't need to see his face because he's telling you how he feels constantly."
The "Deadpool" movie director compared the anti-hero with Batman, who "speaks in monosyllabic stoic sentences." He admitted that fans actually do not need to see the Merc with a Mouth's face because he has no problem with telling the audience how he feels constantly.
Joining as a new Avenger, Deadpool is featured in the recently released book, "Avengers #0." In the comic, Wade Wilson will be returning from a mission ordered by Captain America, also known as Steve Rogers.
Polygon reported that as he returned to base, the Merc with a Mouth is handed his very own "Avengers Priority Identification Card." This confirms his new role in The Avengers.
According to Movie Web, this could be part of the plan for future movies which may include a crossover between Deadpool and The Avengers in the MCU. The publication admitted that although it might still take a long time, it is not impossible.
