Many people are seen constantly on their phones, watching videos, checking their Facebook feed, but we never count the actual time we’re focused on media.

A report by Common Sense Media revealed the shocking fact that teens in the United States spend about nine hours using media for entertainment, according to CNN.

That means that teens spend more than one-third of a day using media.

“We are now in the true emergence of digital natives; that has enormous implications for anyone who cares about media, technology and children."

Half of the teens participating in the survey reportedly said they “often” or “sometimes” use social media or watch TV while they do homework. About 60% reportedly said they text and more than 75% said they listen to music while working on homework at home.
