"Dragon Ball Super" episode 18 is entitled "Goku Departs Earth and Begins Training Under Whis."
The latest installment of the highly-popular series aired on Sunday, Nov. 8. Attack of the Fanboy reported that "Dragon Ball Super" episode 18 may be the last filler episode until the series' "Resurrection of F" saga will start.
Last week, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 17 ended with Goku holding on to Whis as they flew off towards Beerus' planet. Vegeta already had a six-month head start on his training with Whis.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 18 showed Goku and Whis traveling in space. There was a funny scene where the Super Saiyan really needed to go to the bathroom but had to hold it in. Unlike Instant Transmission, Whis is does not have the ability to travel long distances straightaway.
Episode 18's trailer showed Vegeta and Goku doing chores for Whis. It was even speculated that this may be a part of their training.
True enough, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 18 showed the Super Saiyan and the Saiyan Prince working on Beerus' planet instead of training. In one scene, they needed to change the God of Destruction's bed sheets without disturbing his sleep.
AOTFB commented that this episode showed Vegeta as more responsible and highlighted Goku's childish behavior. After their chores, their training with Whis finally started.
The Super Saiyan and Saiyan Prince were tasked to lift some stones off the ground. They had a hard time at first but were able to do it eventually. Afterwards, their training shifted to the same one in "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F."
Whis told Vegeta that he needs to relax since he is too tense. Meanwhile, Goku is too laidback and easily gets caught off guard. "Dragon Ball Super" episode 18 also revealed that Vegeta can already detect God Ki.
This means that he has surpassed Goku since the Super Saiyan still does not have the ability to do that. Sorbet and his gang also made an appearance, showing that the "Resurrection of F" saga is about to begin for "Dragon Ball Super."
