"Strike The Blood" is one of the most entertaining anime TV series from 2013 to 2014. It's still a harem-type anime with a bit of a twist: it central character is a vampire and its female protagonist is tasked to protect or to get to kill him if things gets really awry.
As it's based on a light novel on the same name, it doesn't stretch too far but gets the story right. Anime News Network reviews with a positive note stating that the series "executes well enough, and establishes a convincing enough relationship between Kojo and Yukina, that it still proves plenty entertaining."
Because of its success on the first season, fans have been clamoring for the follow-up on the hit anime TV series. There is some good news and bad news on the well-loved series. First is the bad news: there is no update on the status on when the follow-up will be released.
But even when there is no news about the follow-up, fans should still get encouraged by the fact that the studio in charge of the TV series (Silver Link) did not make any change on the status of "Strike the Blood" according to When-Will.net.
Another indication that there is still interest in making additional content as well as continuing the story of the anime series is the recently released OVA. According to My Anime List, a two-part OVA was released in the last quarter of 2015. With the title of "Strike the Blood: Kingdom of Valkyria", the first episode was aired on Nov. 25 and the second part on Dec. 23.
It would be very interesting on how the story progresses in the OVA. Because it comes from the same studio, there are no worries about breaking the storyline or continuation. Plus, it gives fans of the anime series additional stories that could be part of the second series.
