"Persona 5" is one of the most anticipated games in 2015 but before fans could get their hands on the latest iteration from Altus, a huge announcement was made: the game will be delayed and should be released in 2016.
According to Silicon Era, chief director Katsura Hashino asked fans to wait a little bit longer in order to provide additional gameplay. It claims that it will have the most gameplay in the series with more time required to finish the adventure.
With additional content added, it's no wonder that it will feature a different type of storyline. Katsura Hashino was interviewed by Game Informer with the regards to the highly anticipated game.
According to Hashino, the game would take on a very different approach to their characters. One of the major differences is the fact that "Rather than getting drawn into a strange case, the team throws themselves into the fray." The storyline in the previous versions often drag the characters into an unexpected situation where they have to fight.
In the interview, Hashino also indicated that the storyline starts with every character feeling down and ignored by the society but eventually found a purpose when they found the "Isekai-Navi" that has the power to remove bad intentions from people. The game is practically a social experiment blended with RPG which should be very interesting especially when it comes with extended gameplay.
The anticipation and hype surrounding "Persona 5" has been huge. The trailer alone has solicited positive reactions from gamers worldwide. Attack of the Fanboy indicated that "Persona 5's setting is shaping up to be the largest and busiest in the series so far, with a consistently dense population and a seemingly endless variety of locations on offer" because of the trailer.
"Persona 5" will be released for PlayStation 3 and 4 this summer.
