Charlotte Hornets' Jeremy Lin recently sat out several games due to some soreness making fans miss another possible Linsanity show on the hardcourt.
As reported by CBS Sports, the 27-year-old NBA player sat out two games last week due to after effects of some injuries. But it seemingly appeared that it was the only game he will be missing so far. As the Harvard University graduate was seen back in the court on Jan. 2 after the Hornets faced the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Although OKC won in last Saturday's NBA game beating the Charlotte Hornets 109-90, Jeremy Lin was back in the game after being benched twice. According to Sports Illustrated, the player who created the Linsanity phenomenon scored 15 points in the said game.
The game was an improvement after several times that it was reported that his phenomenon has long been in peril. Back in July, a report on Forbes even tagged the sensation "officially dead."
These days though, Lin has demonstrated great plays in his recent games. Last Dec. 17 as told by ESPN, his team clinched a win against the Toronto Raptors with a score of 109-99. Lin scored a season-high score of 35 making some feel a bit of the phenomenon that got popularized when he was still with the New York Knicks.
"That's what I wanted to do for a long time," the Harvard University graduate shared to the source above after the NBA game.
But he attributed the winning game to teamwork.
"I saw how much (being the playmaker) took out of Al (Jefferson) and Kemba," he explained. "But I couldn't have done it without (Walker), and he couldn't have done it without me. He helps me out just as much as I hope I can help him."
SB Nation claimed as well that it was not Linsanity that was experienced just yet during Jeremy Lin and the Charlotte Hornets' game versus the Toronto Raptors last month but simply a great result that could be achieved with his tandem with Kemba Walker.
