The Golden State Warriors has been smashing records left and right in the NBA's 2015-2016 season, and Monday night was no exemption as Draymond Green grabbed his third straight triple-double, previously held by Hall of Famer Tom Gola back in 1959-1960.

With the win over the Charlotte Hornets, the Golden State Warriors extended its win-loss record to a franchise best of 32-2.

The victory came was even sweeter since the MVP, Stephen Curry, was playing on one good leg.

But credit was also given to Draymond Green, who carried the team on his back, which eventually made a case for the MVP in the process.

The 6-7 forward's stats for the NBA 2015-2016 season is certainly not worthy for him to be in the MVP discussion, with just 15.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.4 blocks.

Predictions for the MVP revolve around four names: Cavs forward Lebron James, Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Pelicans' center Anthony Davis and Golden State Warriors point guard, Stephen Curry.

When Stephen Curry went down, however, Draymond Green stepped up.

As ESPN pointed out, Draymond Green is an important cog in the Golden State Warriors' quest to chase the Chicago Bulls' 72-10 record, and his role is more pronounced with the injury to Stephen Curry.

The article said, "Green is the second player in the past seven seasons to record three consecutive double-doubles. The other player to do it was Russell Westbrook, who had four in a row last season."

In the win against the Charlotte Hornets Monday night, Draymond Green had his stamp all over the place.

"The Warriors were 10-of-18 for 25 points off Green passes on Monday. In this three-game streak, they are 40-of-61 for 93 points when shooting off a Green pass, including 20-of-23 on uncontested looks."

Nevertheless, Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors continue to chug along in this record-breaking season.
