The last time Lil Wayne, Mannie Fresh and Juvenile released an album was in 2003, featuring songs recorded from 1998 to 2000 and based on a recent interview, the three may be in the works of releasing a new joint album this 2016, according to Design&Trend.
"What's crazy was also the fans, the fans demanded this," said producer, Mannie Fresh. "They were just like, 'Listen.' To them, it's iconic. You've got people like, 'This is what I wanna see before it's all said and done. It's necessary that y'all go back and do this album,' and even show the planet that whatever it was, whatever was going on with us, we can get over that and be brilliant businessmen as well as entrepreneurs."
The producer added that the joint album "was a long time coming." Juvenile also said that the record features other artists as well.
B.G., Turk, Juvenile, and Lil Wayne were part of the rap group, "Hot Boys" from 1996 to early 2000s. The group disbanded when Turk, B.G., and Juvenile left Cash Money Records.
No news yet on a new Lil Wayne album for 2016, especially since the rapper just dropped "No Ceilings 2" in Nov. 2015. Fans may still be enjoying tracks from the mixtape.
On the other hand, Lil Wayne's new record, along with 2 Chainz, is one of the most anticipated rap albums of 2016, revealed Rolling Stone.
Meanwhile, it had been initially reported that Wayne threw his mic and walked offstage in Milan. The rapper was overseas for "Milan Fashion Week" and was performing a Philipp Plein show. According to rumors, a video showed that the crowd was not feeling his performance, which pissed the artist off.
It was learned later that Wayne did not walk offstage because of the crowd but because he experienced technical difficulties at the venue and also had problems with his mic. For the record, the show was sold-out, reported TMZ.
