Anna Faris was told be selfish in love before she found and married Chris Pratt.

In a recent interview, the "Mom" actress said she had a hard time applying her mom's advice until she realized what it really meant.

"She told me to be selfish in love and I think that was a really tough one for me to embrace because I think as women, and lots of men too, we tend to put out men's needs first," she told Fox News"I really appreciate that idea that makes sure you find a partner who really, really loves you and respects you and cares for you and I think Chris was all those things."

Aside from raving about love and other advice she got from her mom growing up, Anna Faris also recently gushed about the kind father Chris Pratt was despite his very busy schedule.

"He's such a great dad," the "Scary Movie" actress told CBS News about her "Guardians of the Galaxy" husband.

"He's incredibly attentive, changing diapers at 4 in the morning. I'm so lucky that Jack and Chris are so close. We just trade off and love being together as a family and he's great. He's such a great, happy kid."

But being a dad was just among the many reasons to love about Chris Pratt, according to Anna Faris.

Chatting with E! News, she shared show kind the "Jurassic World" actor was with everyone.

"He is sexy, but more importantly he's a great person," she explained to the source above. "When I was falling in love with him, I loved how kind he was to people. I loved how smart he is, but he's not pretentious at all."

Pratt is currently filming "Guardians of the Galaxy 2." But even in his busy schedule as he revealed on Instagram, he shared some inspiring thoughts about following your heart's desires.

"I had to hustle hard and go hungry," he wrote after being apparently sleepless for days. "I never had a plan B. I never stopped believing. Ever. Don't give up. Apply constant pressure for as long as it takes. It will break before you do. Go get it."
