The NBA trade rumors continue as the Chicago Bulls will have to make major decisions that will decide the fate of the team.

One of those decisions concern the face of the Bulls' franchise, Derrick Rose. Rose would have been the savior of Chicago as he is the only MVP awardee of the franchise since Michael Jordan retired.

However, a horrific series of injuries crushed that dream scenario for the Windy City. Still, the team hung tough and found a new star Jimmy Butler.

While many Chicago loyalists would abhor any suggestion to trade Derrick Rose, the truth of the matter is that a salary of over $20 million would be very useful to the team if it returned solid, consistent production.

There are suggestions to trade Derrick Rose and perhaps the challenge is to find a team willing to take him, as noted by ESPN Insider.

"If the Bulls decide to move on from Derrick Rose, Johnson's expiring deal would be attractive," Insider Bradford Doolittle wrote. "He could help for the stretch run, then the Bulls would move forward with a roster built around Jimmy Butler. Brooklyn, desperate for a star, might be one team willing to bite on the final year of Rose's deal, in 2016-17."

The Nets could decide to forego their full free agent chase to next year, when more point guards like Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook and even Stephen Curry become free agents as Basketball Insiders noted. If those three seem unreachable, other names are Kyle Lowry, Deron Williams, Jrue Holiday, Jeff Teague, Jeremy Lin and Rose himself.

The Nets need to have a big marquee name like Rose more than the Bulls do, so if the new management in Brooklyn would consider these factors, Chicago might bid goodbye to their hometown hero.
