Fans only have days to count before the much-anticipated finale of Disney XD's most-watched animated series, "Gravity Falls," where the fate of the Dipper and Mabel Pines and Bill Cipher will finally be revealed.
"Gravity Falls," will be concluding its second season and the series, too, and in the teaser for the last episode titled "Weirdmageddon III: Take Back The Falls," we see Dipper and Mabel Pines finally fighting back against Bill Cipher.
Movie Pilot, in its report, said that the Mystery Twins "are far more powerful than Bill gave them credit for."
"By underestimating both Dipper and Mabel, he has unwillingly handed them the key to his own defeat! Had Bill frozen Dipper, instead of just burning the journals, he probably would have been free to wreck havoc on our world," Movie Pilot wrote.
Alex Hirsch, in an interview with TV Insider, has discussed how Bill by burning the journals has caused a turning point in "Gravity Falls." According to the showrunner, the journals were very significant for Dipper Pines, even to the viewers as the whole story of "Gravity Falls" revolves around it.
By burning the journals at Dipper's feet, instead of burning the hope of Dipper, it only awakened him. And according to Movie Pilot, this act of Bill Cipher will cause Dipper to join forces with Wendy and together they will save Mabel. Dipper and Mabel being united, accordingly, will become an "unstoppable force" leading to Bill's defeat.
"Bill is trying to lay Dipper as low as possible," Alex Hirsch told TV Insider.
"He sees Dipper as a very tiny pawn on a very big chessboard. Ford is the King and he's already captured him. So Dipper means nothing to Bill at this point and Bill wants to really, really break Dipper's spirit. It's more fun for Bill to toy with his victims that to outright destroy them. So for him, nothing could be crueler and more dissembling of Dipper's sense of hope than the journals burned at Dipper's feet," Hirsch added.
Too bad Bill Cipher didn't know he was setting up his own defeat.
