During the recent NFL Superbowl, the musical award giving body The Grammys hinted in a CBS promo that rapper and hip hop superstar Drake would perform.

According to billboard.com, Drake confirmed that he would not be performing. He tweeted "I am not performing at the Grammy Awards...but hey it's the thought that counts."

The commercial included different artists such as Ice Cube, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Lionel Richie, Meghan Trainor, Luke Bryan and Nicki Minaj. However, none of these big names are confirmed to perform.

However, Justin Bieber, Diplo, Skrillex, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Chris Stapleton, Bonnie Raitt, Gary Clark Jr., Pitbull, Robin Thicke, and Travis Barker and the Hollywood Vampires (Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry) are all confirmed to perform in the event.

In addition to these big musical stars, Andra Day, Ellie Goulding, Adele, James Bay, the Broadway cast of Hamilton, Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood and The Weeknd have been included.

The Hip-hop heartthrob was nominated for four awards at the 2016 Grammy Awards for best rap album with his E.P. "If You're Reading This It's Too Late," best rap song "Energy", best rap/sung collaboration "Only" and best rap performance "Back to Back" and "Truffle Butter".

As reported by theverge.com, Drake's "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" gained huge commercial success as it was the only album to reach 1 million copies in sales in 2015.

As seen on latinospost.com, a cryptic date of September 24 was posted on Drake's official website. This has most fans assuming that the release date will be exactly 2 years from his hit album "Nothing Was The Same."

Although the details have yet to be confirmed, Drake guarantee that the "Views From The Six" will be released via Apple iTunes.
