Over the past years, "Resident Evil" game fans seem to be quite disappointed with how the game evolved.
Cinema Blend report stated that players have noticed on how the game turned into another type of gameplay from its previously horror-packed theme especially in its current installment of "Resident Evil 6."
The game became more action-oriented than horror-oriented which made players feel like it was not the usual and original "Resident Evil" game they were playing before, the report added.
Hiroyuki Kobayashi, the producer of the game, responded to the current perception of fans about the seemingly moving away of the game's original survival theme to Hollywood Blockbuster moments.
"Since there's been more spinoff titles, I can see how it can be perceived in such a way. And of course, I believe that we should produce titles that bring out the horror. I'm thinking about it and also preparing for it."
Despite the "Resident Evil 7" gameplay has not yet been announced, some sources and a leaked image gave an implication that the game in progress will return back to its origins, Korean Portal reported.
The report also stated that the leakage suggested that "Resident Evil 7" will finally come back into the horror-rich gameplay the fans have been requesting for quite some time now.
According to Korean Portal, the release date of the game will be unveiled during its surprise appearance at the Electronic Entertainment Exposition 2016 conference. It can be recalled that Capcom announced the game last year but not so many details regarding its progress was given right after.
The report added that due to the tight schedule of the game developer, they cannot yet give full updates on the next installment is going to be and when the release date would finally be.
With these current updates, and with the game being rumored to going back to its horror-rich theme, fans are surely anticipating and are more than hopeful these speculations would happen.
