While there's no word on the "Tekken 7" PS4 release date, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for the ninth installment in the Tekken series.

The new trailer reveals a lot of what the updated version of the sequel will offer, including characters, rage system, how combos work and power-ups.

In the video, fans get a glimpse of combat featuring the Street Fighter character Akuma, fighter Nina Williams in her Fatal Bride costume and a new Rage system, reported Yibada.

Akuma will feature his famous move sets from the "Street Fighter" games including his Gohadoken, Goshoryuken and Shun Goku Satsu (The Raging Demon).

The new "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" trailer also features an update Rage System wherein players can use buffs in their moves, such as Rage Attack and Rage Arts, reported N4BB.

It is to be noted that Akuma in the game will not have a Rage System, but will feature a Super Meter, divided into two segments.

The official "Tekken 7" website lists Claudio, Katarina, Lucky Chloe, Shaheen, Josie, Gigas, Kazumi, Kazuya, Heihachi, Lars, Asuka, Lili, Alisa, Xiaoyu, Feng Wei, Paul, Marshall Law, Steve Fox, Leo, Hwoarang, King, Dragunov, Bryan, Jin, Devil Jin, Yoshimitsu and Jack-7 as the characters in the roster.

New character outfits for veteran fighters like Hwoarang, Feng Wei, Asuka, King, Bryan Fury and Xiaoyu are also featured in the "Fated Retribution" trailer. However, gamers will still have the option to customize the looks of their chosen characters in the game.

A new feature called the "Tekken Net" has also been added. The new feature will allow gamers to transfer game data from the arcade through laptops and mobile devices.

"Tekken 7" for the PS4 was announced back in October, but there is still no word on an exact release date.

Developer Bandai Namco has already announced that they will first focus on "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" in the Japanese arcades and then develop the console version sometime later this year, reported GameRevolution.

"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" would soon be released for arcade testing in Japan. The initial testing will begin on Feb. 12 and will end on Feb 14.

The test run will take place in Namco Sugamo in Tokyo, Round One Stadium Sennichimae arcade in Osaka and Namco's Hakata Bus terminal arcade in Fukuoka.

It is expected that "Tekken 7" PS4 and Xbox One versions will likely get a release date in the late months of 2016.
