Formerly, no game had been able to claim that all Amiibo figurines are compatible with it. According to NZgamer.com, "Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash!, Mario Party 10, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and Hyrule Warriors support most of them."
Amiibo, Nintendo's Toys-to-Life items, was launched in late 2014. The figurines are made with Near Field Communication (NFC) chips that can be used with Wii U or 3DS, similar to the more widely-known Disney Infinity.
Previous statements from Nintendo last November said that when Pokken Tournament is released, a Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card will come with it, allowing players to play the character right away.
It's been recently confirmed by Nintendo.com that "Pokken Tournament" is "compatible with all amiibo accessories unlocking in-game items."
Just a few days ago the highly-anticipated game's official tutorial video was released to the public. As per WCCFtech.com, the tutorial "details the game's controls and mechanics so it's an excellent watch for those who want to learn more about 'Pokken Tournament' before its Wii U release. The video is unfortunately only available in Japanese as of now, but it's not too difficult to understand what goes in on it even without understanding the language." You may watch the video here.
Gamers can select how they want to battle on 'Pokken Tournament.' WCCFtech.com states that "the game will include a single-player mode called Single Battle, complete with three different difficulty levels. Local Battle mode, which will allow one player to play on the Wii U Gamepad and another with other supported controllers, has also been confirmed. The official website has also confirmed LAN mode for the game."
According to engadget.com, Nintendo will release a controller exclusively made for "Pokken Tournament."
"Pokken Tournament" will be released in all regions on March 18, 2016 and will be exclusive on Wii U.
