Papa Roach recently confirmed their intentions to put up a new album really soon, less than a year since they released "F.E.A.R."
In a recent report by Blabbermouth, band guitarist Jerry Horton shared his thoughts about the upcoming record, revealing their plans of heading back to the studio and promoting their 2015 record on the road, as they get set for a tour.
"It's really kind of up in the air," Horton said about their plans and the potential new Papa Roach album. "We talked about taking a break for a while, but also writing. But at the same time, there might be a couple of tours that we wanna do. So we're really kind of seeing how everything is gonna pan out, just because we don't wanna commit to any one thing just quite yet."
In the same interview, he also revealed how they are still working on the songs and that there have been ideas flying out from their heads for a potential follow-up.
"We don't have [completed] songs [at this point], but there's always ideas floating around," he said. "There's riffs and stuff recorded already, but Jacoby [Shaddix, vocalist] hasn't dug in yet. So it's just kind of music at this point."
Talking about "F.E.A.R.," Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix talked to Loud Wire and claimed how their new album was the best so far for him.
"[F.E.A.R. is] the sickest, most illest P-Roach record to date," Shaddix said. "It's fiery. It's like I'm holding a light orb in my hand and when I put it to the sky, I take off like a superhero if that makes any sense. It's for real."
Although it is all rumors for now, a new album from Papa Roach is expected to come out in 2017 once the band is done with their tour to promote their 2015 effort.
