Maisie Williams is almost ready to take on the challenge of being in the cast of the potential "The Last Of Us" movie, which is rumored to come out in the coming years.
In a recent report by Coming Soon, the "Game Of Thrones" actress revealed her intentions of joining the movie.
Williams revealed in an interview last year that she had a meeting with people involved in the "The Last Of Us" movie and claimed that she is being considered to take on the role of Ellie.
"I had a lunch a little while ago and we spoke about the possibility of me playing Ellie and that's really exciting and I would absolutely love to," Williams explained. "They announced at Comic-Con that we had spoken about it, and since then in like every interview people have been asking me about it."
"Honestly I would love to and I think they would love me to play Ellie also, and that's where it is at the moment. There's no script, no director, it's still very early days for the whole project, but if it all goes ahead soon enough I think, yeah, I would love to."
Furthermore, the mastermind behind the game, Neil Druckman, revealed in another interview last year, as stated by the same source, that he was done with the draft of the "The Last Of Us" movie.
"I just finished a second draft, and we did a table read with a bunch of actors," he said. "Pretty faithful to the game. There are some big changes, but the tone and what the story's trying to say is pretty faithful to the game."
"The Last Of Us" movie is rumored to appear on the big screen in the next two years, as rumors suggest that planning and pre-production will happen within the year.
