After how many years of waiting, "Shenmue" will finally return to the limelight with its all new and improved third game instalment dubbed "Shenmue 3."
Game Designer Yu Suzuki recently confirmed that his team "just started getting into development," as the group are peering toward a December 2017 release date for the long-awaited "Shenmue 3," albeit no exact release date has been confirmed.
"All of this was accomplished by your efforts," Yu Suzuki wrote. "Through the illustrations, you drew, the videos you produced, and all that you did throughout the campaign, I could not help but feel the deep love you have for Shenmue."
Such a long way to go, right? That said, to ease everyone's thirst, crisp screenshots from "Shenmue 3" showing new environments and sneak peek at the characters recently appeared and eventually, made noise in the online world.
Shiyuba Productions recently released three in-development screenshots "Shenmue 3" amid the most prominent anime and gaming conference expo dubbed Magic Monaco Conference, as noted by iDigital Times.
Apparently, the brand new images showcase "Shenmue 3's" protagonist Ryo Hazuki standing with the character Shenhua Ling in a variety of picturesque nature settings.
Numerous individuals moreover noted that those screenshots might already a representations of in-game materials albeit both Ryo and Shenhua are facing away from the camera.
Apparently, "Shenmue 3" follows the events of the series' previous instalment. As a quick refresher, the "Shenmue 2" showcases a teenage martial artist, Ryo Hazuki, who has travelled from Yokosuka, Japan up to the mountains of Guilin, China in order to locate his father's killer, Lan Di.
There he met Ling Shenhua, a mysterious girl who previously appeared in his dreams. In the wake of learning the legend of her village, which foretells a united path between them, together they set out on another voyage which will eventually uncover their shared fate.
Apparently, Lan Di will return in "Shenmue 3" game, with an all new antagonist Niao Sun. The third instalment in the critically-acclaimed "Shenmue" series begins in Bailu Village in Guilin.
According to "Shenmue 3's" Kickstarter page," the second area, Choubu, is "a riverside village with lots of shops, souvenir stores, hotels and temples." The third area, Baisha, will feature a "siege game reminiscent of the Warring Kingdoms."
