Each of the rare cats in the game by Hit Point has specific items that they want and only come out when the items are available in the garden. There are so many choices of food and toys to choose from but only a few will be able to attract the rare cats, which will eventually give you more fish.
Pocket Gamer compiled a list of rare cats and their profiles. Included in those profiles are the toy and food preferences that will make it easier for players to get them to visit their gardens. There were seventeen rare cats that were fully discussed.
Joe DiMeowgio is an orange cat in a baseball jersey and appears when there is a baseball (90 silver fish), Senor Don Gato is spotted cat with a mustache who enjoys stabbing the mister mouse toy (140 silver), Guy Furry is a chef cat that appears when there is a heating stove (600 silver) or a glass vase (750 silver), Ramses The Great is a sphinx that loves the pyramid tent (190 silver) and Billy the Kitten is a cowboy kitty that loves the cowboy hat (400 silver).
According to Recombu, the newest update, cheats, tips and tricks to the rare cat roster in "Neko Atsume" is Frosty. A red-eyed cat with green ears and is a very picky kitty. Apart from not being very active, he won't play with any of the toys and only goes for pillows, cushions, pads and mats. His favorite is the sky blue Snowy Pillow (220 silver) and the Bureau with Pot (950 silver).
While there are a lot of silver priced items, the gold priced items get a lot of other rare cats as well. Xerxes IX is a Persian that loves the Zanzibar cushion (20 gold fish). Chairman Meow is a camouflage cat that likes the earthenware pot (20 gold) and sunken fireplace (70 gold). Saint Purrtrick is an ethereal looking cat that likes the kotatsu (60 gold) and silk crepe pillow (20 gold) and Ms. Fortune is a lucky cat that likes to play in the cardboard house (40 gold).
There is also Bob the Cat, an outdoor adventurer, that like conquering the cat metropolis (50 gold), Conductor Whiskers loves the cardboard choo-choo (60 gold) or the twisty rail (20 gold), Tubbs is a chubby white cat that loves a food bowl or the giant cushion (25 gold), Mr. Meowgi is a ronin that likes practicing on the scratching log (30 gold) or the sakura pillow (220 gold), Lady Meow-Meow is a sassy cat that loves the luxurious hammock (35 gold), Kathmandu is a cat in traditional wear that can't resist the Temari ball (25 gold) or lacquered bowl (25 gold) and Sassy Fran, a waitress kitty, serves in the cardboard card (50 gold).
