There have been rumors coming out that Demi Lovato is secretly engaged to her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama.
During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the 23-year-old singer opened up about marriage. However, she also dismissed the engagement rumors by showing off her fingers.
"I don't see a ring... I wouldn't mind if I saw one," Lovato said as reported by Mail Online.
The "Cool of Summer" singer tries not to pressure the 36-year-old actor into marrying her. According to the news site, she doesn't want him to do anything he isn't ready for.
"There's a time for everything [and] we've been together this long so I'm not going anywhere and vice versa," the former Disney star added.
Ellen DeGeneres showed Demi Lovato her Instagram post of her birthday greeting to Wilmer Valderrama. She looked at her boyfriend's photo and expressed her admiration for him.
"Look at how handsome he is, he is so handsome!" she proudly said.
The two have known each other for six years, but the actor decided to wait until he is sure about his feelings because of the huge age gap. She was just a teenager then while he was already in his 30s.
"We were friends at first and I was head-over-heels and he was like 'Stay away until your old enough,'" the hitmaker said.
Now that Demi Lovato is at the right age to get married to Wilmer Valderrama, then it isn't surprising if they will get engaged this year. They are so in love with each other and their followers on Instagram are a witness to that.
Just recently, the "Skyscraper" singer shared a cute photo with her boyfriend on Instagram and captioned it: "I'm SO IN LOVE WITH THIS MAN. I went makeup free on a super romantic date we had because that's when he thinks I'm the prettiest."

In a separate interview with ET, Wilmer Valderrama may not have revealed his plans of getting engaged to Demi Lovato but he did reveal their relationship secret.
"You know, we've been best friends for about six years," he said. "All I did was love her exactly when she needed me to love her. And you know, we just stay honest. That's it."
