Since Telltale Games made the announcement last December 2015 in the Game Awards Show that they will be creating a game for Batman, there has been little information divulged regarding its full title.
It has been speculated that Telltale is mum regarding the full title as it will give an idea of how the story would be like, Gaming Bolt reported.
During the announcement, Kevin Bruner, co-founder and CEO of Telltale Games said: "At Telltale, we've been honored to bring our unique approach to interactive storytelling to some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, and we're excited to announce that we'll soon be exploring what it means to be Batman in an all-new series starting next year."
What is known so far based on the announcement is that players would get a chance to deal with the duality of Batman's identity, as Batman and Bruce Wayne himself.
"This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy."
As for the characters set to appear in the upcoming game, other characters like Commissioner Gordon and Wayne's trusted butler, Alfred, who are usually present in the Batman story, are expected to be included. But Telltale only confirmed the character to be included is Batman himself and his alter-ego Bruce Wayne. Villains are also expected to appear but it is not also clear whether the game would focus on a main villain or a group of hired criminals, the report added.
The trailer that was released did not also reveal how the game play would go for this Batman version, but based on the history of other Telltale games where players have to luxury over the reign of the characters which eventually branched the storyline. Decisions can be made as to how the player would carry out a conversation or how they are going to perform a specific action.
With these very few updates, Telltale fans and Batman fans as well, are still having a lot of pondering on what this game has to offer.
