"Frozen 2" with Anna and Elsa reuniting on the big screens is not set to happen until 2018. On top of that, waiting will could get more of the whole of Arendelle as they are set to perform on Broadway in the same year.
"Disney said it is set to do a developmental production of 'Frozen' outside New York, starting in the summer of 2017, before they will bring it to Broadway the following spring," Australia News Network reported. "The show will then join 'Aladdin' and 'The Lion King' on Broadway in the spring of 2018."
"Alex Timbers, co-writer and co-creator of the recent Golden Globe-winning Amazon series "Mozart in the Jungle," is set to direct the broadway show. It will be choreographed by Peter Darling, who is known for his Tony-winning work in "Billy Elliot." The musical will also feature music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and a book by Jennifer Lee, who penned and co-directed the screenplay."
As for the cinema release of "Frozen 2," several speculations have already circulated online when it comes to Anna and Elsa's fate in the sequel. According to new rumors, the new movie might expose the truth between Elsa and Anna- they are not real sisters! As shocking as it may sound, a video surfaced just recently explaining how Rapunzel from "Tangled" could be Elsa's real sibling.
"As fans earlier speculated, 'Frozen' has indeed close relations with' Tangled,'" Australia Network News reported. "In the 2013 Disney film, Rapunzel and Eugene was seen visiting the Kingdom of Arendelle. According to Radio Times, a new fan theory suggests that Rapunzel is Elsa's real sister."
"The fan made video noted that Disney films take place in a 'large, connected universe.' As such, the video laid out four factors in proving that Elsa and Rapunzel are sisters. These are location, timing, genetics and magical powers."
