There's might be no hope for a Patrick Dempsey "Grey's Anatomy" comeback. News has it the 50-year-old actor has apparently changed his priorities now.

In an interview back in December, the McDreamy actor shunned possibilities that he may work again on the set of the medical drama series citing he has been ready to move on from it.

"You know, I was ready to move on and then I was focused on racing," he told Entertainment Weekly back then.

Despite this though, he was not closing his doors at possibly starring in another TV show.

"I think I would consider anything," he explained in the same interview. "I just think you have to be open, to see what happens and what comes along."

Meanwhile, Patrick Dempsey has been in the news once again after he and his wife Jillian Fink called off their divorce last month.

According to the Radar Online, one of the reasons for the reconciliation was purportedly the "Grey's Anatomy" star's promise for his racing to take a backseat.

"Jillian wouldn't never have accepted unless he agreed to slow down on his motorsports racing," an insider revealed to the source above.

Patrick Dempsey has backed out of several racing events recently. Prior to that, Sportscar365 reported that the former "Grey's Anatomy" actor will be seen less on the racetrack as he will be focused on family and movies this year. But news has it that he won't be quitting racing at all despite the rumors.

"I think there are so many rumors that are absolutely ridiculous," he told EW as well two months ago.

"Quit what, racing?" he continued. "Oh God, no. Absolutely not. I didn't quit anything. People want to put everything in a box. Real life isn't like that. The season is over. We're going make an announcement of what we're doing very soon. I'll continue on with Porsche, certainly. I had a great relationship with them.  It's been a great year."
