One of Sony's global accounts on Twitter hinted about a possible "Crash Bandicoot" revival because of an image, posted by Sony's Middle East account, of Crash in a what seemed to be an outlaw poster.
Written in the material is an Arabic text which bears "Most Wanted: Where Are You Crash?" when translated in English, Tech Times reported.
Because of this speculation, it has set fans in a hopeful mood that the rumor would be true this time. It can be recalled that Sony already did the teasing twice in the past years, but no "Crash Bandicoot" return took place, the report added. During a past interview with telegraph sometime in 2014, Sony's Group CEO Andrew House commented on the possible revival of the hit video game:
"In concept, it is something we've been thinking about and discussing, and this is a shift for us," said House. "We've started to say that maybe there isn't anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that people still talk about, that were a big part of either their childhood or their youth. I definitely wouldn't close the door on that."
No follow-up tweet has been made as of this moment since Sony's Middle East account took the image to social media. But fans of this long lost game has responded positively with the rumor.
User @sidekcks tweeted in his account of possibly buying a PS4 in case "Crash Bandicoot" is rebooted:
"will i really buy a ps4 if sony puts out another crash bandicoot? Probably"
Another user @Ladymikmaq even thought of herself having psychic powers:
"Had a dream about Crash Team Racing and as of this morning there's gonna be a Crash Bandicoot PS4 game??? Am I psychic or am I psychic"
If the come back is really in the works right now, many fans would likely be genuinely ecstatic about the "Crash Bandicoot" reboot especially that the game hasn't returned in almost a decade now.
