Fans continue to celebrate the news that Paramore is finally working on a new album and will probably be out this year.
The news was, of course, announced by Paramore's lead vocalist Hayley Williams in her message of thanks on Twitter last Jan. 20, where she expressed gratitude in behalf of Paramore to the people who continue to support the band.
She has been extra thankful, especially that the band is struggling in the past year, not to mention the leaving of Paramore's bassist, Jeremy Davis, in December of last year.
"Wanna take a second to say thanks to all the people who have put out incredibly humbling/motivating articles about Paramore in the last month," Hayley Williams said in her Twitter message.
"To name a few: @Buzzfeed, & the new issue of @RockSound. I don't even really have any other words except thank you," she added.
Then to the delight of the fans, Hayley Williams shared a tweet of a fan commenting: "I think you should say something about a new album, don't you," to which Williams also attached a reply, saying, "Haha, I suppose. We are writing it."
That sums up all the confirmation the fans are asking for about a new album from Paramore.
In a recent update, as the band starts working with the new album, Paramore's live drummer Aaron Gillespie spoke about his role in the band for their next studio album.
On the Lead Singer Syndrome podcast, the live drummer clarified that while there are rumors about him working on the next Paramore LP, his role will remain in the live setting only and that he will not record any music with the band.
He also said (via NME), "They're amazing people. It's an honor to get to play with them."
"It's something that's super challenging because of their stature, and because you want to be great for something like that," he added.
