The time for mixed tapes may have been long over but a Spotify playlist can become an alternate. This 2016, the platform has even offered a unique way to gift your loved one something special this Valentine's Day.
As announced on its website, the streaming music platform is offering "Love Notes," which allows a user to "send love notes with a secret message."
After scrolling down, the tool will then present various questions to personalize the message you want to send to your special someone with the first question: How hot is your message?
It will then let you choose between the songs "Just The Way You Are" for pure love songs, "Call Me Maybe" for cute tunes, "Smooth Operator" for a flirty mix, "Let's Get It On" for seductive beats and "Bump n' Grind" for something steamy.
Upon choosing, the next page will then let you choose three music genres. On the final page, the user will then be prompted on the message he or she wanted the special someone to read. From there, Valentine's Day Spotify Playlist 2016 will arrange songs titles to form your secret message instantly.
The maker of the playlist and special message will be then asked to sign the secret message song list or leave it unsigned. A private link as well as a social media link of the "Love Notes" will be then made available for the user.
For those not loving the instant playlist with a secret message, you can still opt to make your own Spotify playlist come Valentine's Day 2016. According to The Telegraph UK, top songs to choose from included "Unchained Melody" from the movie "Ghost," "More Than Words," "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing," and "When You Say Nothing At All.
Elijah Wood's DJ team Wooden Wisdom also shared their own Spotify playlist for love day via The New York Times. Other pre-made song lists can be found on the app itself by simply using the search tool.
