Sad news for fans of Katie Holmes on "Ray Donovan." The 37-year-old actress just revealed she was out of the Showtime TV series for season 4.
According to Just Jared, she told Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan that she had to give it up due to her scheduling conflict.
"No," she said on "Live with Kelly & Michael" when asked about appearing on "Ray Donovan" season 4.
"I'm gonna play Jackie Kennedy," she explained. "We start in April. I think they're already filming 'Ray Donovan' right now. I can't do both."
Katie Holmes though was open to possibly coming back for "Ray Donovan's" next season. A good news for Strahan, who was a fan of the show.
"Maybe," the "All We Had" actress responded when asked about a possible return.
"I loved it," she said about portraying Paige Finney on the show. "It was a really wonderful experience. The braces were fun."
The Ohio-born actress was currently doing several TV appearance to promote her new film "Touched With Fire." During an interview with Matt Lauer on the "Today" show, the host couldn't help about asking her about his incident with Holmes' ex-husband Tom Cruise. She handled it with grace though while also dodging being put on the hot seat.
"[The movie] asks the question, is it beneficial to treat these people with drugs?" Lauer started as quoted by Entertainment Tonight. "You and I both remember a heated discussion I got into on that subject here in this studio. How do you think the movie comes down on that?"
"What I think our director [Paul Dalio] did a wonderful job with is this movie just kind of shows, this is it," she responded. "These are these two characters in a love story, which he's saying is kind of its own kind of mania, to fall in love. But he puts the question out there for the audience to make their own decision."
Katie Holmes has always been mum in the news when Tom Cruise was the matter. But as reported by Us Weekly, the actress has told Ocean Drive magazine that she doesn't regret anything from her past. She was married to the "Mission: Impossible" actor from 2006-2012.
