Selena Gomez is reportedly sad for model Hailey Baldwin whom the "Hands to Myself" singer thinks is just being played by former boyfriend Justin Bieber on the marriage talks.
The whole issue stemmed from Bieber's interview with GQ where he weighed in on getting married.
"Right now in my life, I don't want to be held down by anything. I already have a lot that I have to commit to. A lot of responsibilities. I don't want to feel like the girl I love is an added responsibility," he said.
"What if Hailey ends up being the girl I'm gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it's always gonna be damaged," he explained. "It's really hard to fix wounds like that. It's so hard.... I just don't want to hurt her."
While that answer might seem to suggest that Justin Bieber's perspective has matured, Selena Gomez allegedly doesn't think that that's the case with her former boyfriend.
She thinks it's pretty embarrassing that he's talking about how he might marry Hailey one day because it's the same game he used to play with her," Hollywood Life reported after talking to an alleged source.
The source went on to add, "He always used to tell her that he was going to marry her, it was like this prize he dangled over her head to keep her around no matter how much crap he pulled. Now he's doing the same thing with Hailey."
The gossip news site claimed that Selena Gomez is quite happy that her former boyfriend Justin Bieber is talking about Hailey Baldwin and not her, just so the tabloids can stop linking them together.
Selena Gomez allegedly has a new boyfriend in her life in marketing exec Samuel Krost, and wanted to move on from that episode in her life where she was hung up on Justin Bieber.
But Bieber was indeed asked in the GQ interview about Selena Gomez and the "Sorry" singer admitted that they are not talking often as he described their relationship as "cordial".
"If she needs something, I'm there for her. If I need something, she's there for me," he said.
