UFC 196 will feature two of the best fighter in UFC and probably in MMA: Conor McGregor and Rafael dos Anjos.
The fight will be extra special and interesting because McGregor, who recently won the featherweight belt, will also try to get his hands on the lightweight belt of dos Anjos. The bid to hold multiple titles was just recently blessed by Dana White according to Yahoo Sports if McGregor ends up with the win.
But that's a big IF for Conor McGregor. His 13-second knockout maybe the fastest title fight knockout in UFC history, according to MMA Junkie but Rafael dos Anjos is never the push-over. The Brazilian champion is on a five-game winning streak and his last fight ended in just over a minute into the first round when he KO'd Donald Cerrone.
Former champion Anderson Silva even has a warning for the current featherweight champion as stated in a report by Fox Sports.
"While Silva says he respects McGregor as a fighter and commends him on the mind games that he plays with his opponents, he also cautions the outspoken Irishman to choose his words carefully -- especially when addressing the best fighters in the world coming out of Brazil like lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos."
While Silva has a warning for McGregor when fighting his fellow Brazilians, the bets are now in favor of the Irish champ. As of this writing, Odds Shark reports that popular betting site Bovada is placing McGregor at -150 while dos Anjos is at +120.
The fight between two champions is set for March 5 in Las Vegas. According to the official UFC site for the event, Holly Holm will also make his first title defense against Miesha Tate since shocking the world with a convincing win against the highly popular Ronda Rousey November last year.
