It's official! The long-awaited sequel game of the popular sci-fi shooter will finally be coming to town with its release date slated sooner or later in 2017. Yes? Yes!
Vast majority of the fans seems to be somewhat disappointed when it was previously announced that "Destiny 2" will not meet its original release date window.
"Court documents published in September 2015 laid out the roadmap for the sci-fi shooter franchise," according to Game Spot.
That said, Activision Blizzard, the publisher of Bungie's "Destiny," recently declared that a full game sequel to "Destiny" will release in 2017. Be that as it may, what would the sequel game bring to the table?
In its report, Tech Insider reveals that the sequel game might be called "Destiny 2: The Shattered Suns" that would possibly concentrate vigorously on a lost warlock named Osiris and his endeavors.
"You will still be using your current characters," the report reveal. "It will focus heavily on Osiris and his endeavors as he is the main quest giver in the game."
Also, of note is that Osiris is a character that's oft insinuated yet never been seen in the original "Destiny" game. Apparently, there's a competitive multiplayer tournament called "Trials of Osiris," where a group of three players is hollowed against one another and the immaculate victors will get to visit Osiris' temple on Mercury.
Notwithstanding of that certainty, vast majority of the players still never seen the said character.
Aside from that, more interesting news have revealed that Bungie might not sell separate expansion or downloadable content (DLC) packs right after releasing "Destiny 2."
"Instead of it going 'Destiny,' DLC1, DLC2, 'Comet' (the codename for "The Taken King"), DLC1, DLC2, they're actually just gonna go [big] release and then incremental release," a source told Kotaku. "So it'll just be 'Destiny,' 'Comet,' 'Destiny,' 'Comet' every year. It's basically just switching the game to an annual model."
Aside from that, the company also announced that a huge new expansion is coming later this year for the original "Destiny" game, as noted by Forbes, albeit no further additional details have been revealed, as everything was being kept under wraps.
