While an exact release date for Bon Jovi upcoming new album "This House Is Not for Sale" hasn't been announced yet, frontman Jon Bon Jovi has confirmed that release will happen sometime in March 2016.
In a press conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Jovi revealed that the band went back to its roots to record "This House is Not For Sale." The album has been recorded in the same studio where the band members recorded "Runaway" in 1982- the Power Station in Manhattan.
"We were recording at different times and different rooms in the studio," said Bon Jovi, according to Ultimate Classic Rock.
"That's not happening anymore. We went back to the place where we cut 'Runaway' in 1982 - where I used to sweep the floor and fetch coffee. And, we did "This House Is Not For Sale."
The 53-year-old singer joked that he cleaned the studio and fetched coffee for bandmates, keyboardist David Bryan and drummer Tico Torres just as he used to do in the past.
When asked if Bon Jovi's new album will include a pop song like, "You Give Love a Bad Name," the frontman said, "When I wrote 'Runaway' in 1982, my viewpoint wasn't that big. But with every record and the passing decade of our career, we evolve. We keep our eyes open, let information in and write about the world around us. We really couldn't write 'You Give Love a Bad Name' now. It was great when I was 25 but not at 53."
"This record is about our integrity," Bon Jovi added, according to Korea Portal. "Integrity matters and we're at a stage of our career where we don't have anything left to prove."
In another interview with Bill Board, the singer said there's no doubt that the band members will be proud of the new Bon Jovi album.
"I have a lot of material to write about it," Bon Jovi said, reported Best Classic Bands. "Believe me, the new record is good. "It's pointed. It's something we are going to be proud of."
