"Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi recently confirmed that Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett will be featured in the upcoming Thor movie.
Now, new rumors suggest Blanchett will be playing the role of Hela, the Asgardian goddess of death, who is regarded as one of Thor's greatest enemies.
According to Latino Review, Hela, possibly played by Cate Blanchett, will attack Asgard in the upcoming movie "Thor: Ragnarok" and will destroy the Mjolnir as well as kill one of the characters.
Latest spoilers suggest that Hela will kill one of Thor's closest friend Heimdall (Idris Elba).
"Hela will take Asgard and Thor attempts to stop her," the Latino Review report read. "Hela lays the smackdown on the God of Thunder, destroying his hammer and straight up murdering Thor's friend Heimdall."
The last Avengers installment titled "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" had a scene which took place in a cave. The scene showed Thor had a vision where Heimdall warned him of "Hel."
While it is rumored that Hela will kill Heimdall in the movie, this doesn't mean that the character will disappear from "Thor: Ragnarok."
Heimdall will be featured in the final battle between Thor and Hela's forces. Hela will lead an army of the dead which will also include Heimdall, reported Design N Trend.
It is still not confirmed if Heimdall's death will happen in "Thor: Ragnarok," so it's best to take it all with a grain of salt.
Director Taika Waititi recently confirmed Cate's involvement in the next Thor movie.
"Yeah, the rumor ... Here's the thing. I can't say anything. I've probably said way too much," Waititi said of Cate playing Hela, according to Fashion N Style.
"Yes. Look, it's so early I'm not sure exactly what the extent of it is, but it's looking good, which would make me very happy," he said.
Cate Blanchett is yet to confirm her role in "Thor: Ragnarok."
The upcoming Thor movie will hit theaters on Nov. 3, 2017.
