The 58th Annual Grammy Awards is all set to take place on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The award show recognizes the best artists, recordings and compositions from the music industry.
The award nominations were announced earlier on Dec.7, 2015.
While Kendrick Lamar topped the list with 11 nominations, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd stood second on the list with seven nominations each. In non-performing artist category, producer Max Martin received six nominations, reported Mirror.
The award show will be hosted by LL Cool J. This will be the fifth straight year in a row when LL Cool J will be hosting the Grammy Awards.
Adele, Alabama Shakes, Carrie Underwood, Ellie Goulding, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Little Big Town, Rihanna, Skrillex, Sam Hunt, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd and the cast of "Hamilton" are among the ones who will be performing at the awards show, reported The Daily Beast.
This will be for the first time that the Grammys will feature four live tribute performances honoring some of the recently deceased musical legends.
Lady Gaga will pay tribute to David Bowie through her performance. Bowie died on Jan. 10, 2016 at the age of 69.
Eagles bandmates, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Bernie Leadon, Timothy B. Schmit and Jackson Browne will remember legend Glenn Frey, who died on Jan. 16, 2016 at the age of 67.
Chris Stapleton, Gary Clark Jr. and Bonnie Raitt will honor the legendary bluesman B.B. King, who died in May 2015 at the age of 89.
The Hollywood Vampires including Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry will pay tribute to Lemmy Kilmister, who died on Dec. 28, 2016, after a battle with cancer.
What's unique about the Grammys this year is that tiny cameras have been installed into the base of the awards, reported Irish Examiner.
The Grammy Awards 2016 will air live stream from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Viewers will also be able to stream the event live using the official CBS All Access service.
