According to Parent Herald, an insider confirmed that "although the new MacBooks may be introduced during this year's WWDC in June, their launch dates will come in the later parts of the year." The source added that "rumors indicate that the release dates will be distributed across Q3 and Q4 2016, with the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBooks following each other closely in the third quarter at the earliest."
In addition to the report, the MacBook Pro is reported to be powered by a Skylake processor which can improve the laptop's graphic capabilities and can provide a longer battery capacity. On the other hand, the speculated touch screen feature will not be included in this MacBook Pro release, Latin Post confirmed.
Meanwhile, Apple sales went down to as much as seven percent compared to the previous quarter. It has been reported that the tech giant was only able to ship around 5.3 million units of MacBook products in the last quarter of 2015 which contributed to the sales decrease.
It seems that the competition is really tough in the tech industry that leading companies like Apple had to think of other strategies which wouldn't get them off behind. There were reports that other devices, including iPad Air 3 and a new line of Apple watches will be included in the March 15 event.
It was said that the company is hopeful that their Macbook and iMac products will be able to reposition them on track, Digitimes reported. According to one of its sources, "Makers in the supply chain are expected to start producing new 12- and 13.3-inch MacBooks, the end of the first quarter or in early second quarter, and 15-inch models in the third quarter."
As of the moment, Apple could only be hopeful that everything they set around this year will be able to catch the attention of other consumers and will increase the loyalty of their existing market.
