"Looking at some of their [Sony] other titles, they're looking at bringing Crash Bandicoot back, which is really cool," Falk said.
It can be noted that NECA (National Entertainment Collectibles Association) is closely working with Sony on collectible figures.
A report from Gematsu mentioned that several incidences in the past have hinted long-waiting fans on the revival of the game, several of which are the following:
In the pre-launching of PS4, a trailer was released from Sony which featured hints on Street Fighter also featured vague images that hinted "Crash Bandicoot" is returning. Unfortunately, only "Street Fighter IV" and "Street Fighter V" were announced a year after.
In another incident, an attempt by Robodomo was made by requesting Activision if "Crash Bandicoot" could be included in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5. Unfortunately, the request was denied.
Further clarifications by Robodomo has been made through Twitter since the incident and explained that it was not yet the right time.
Similar incidents that suggested the same context transpired when a "Crash Bandicoot" t-shirt worn by Sony's Computer Entertainment America president was witnessed during the PlayStation Experience 2015 last December.
It can be recalled that the same president wore a Vib ribbon button-down during Sony's ice bucket challenge video, and a few months after, a Vib ribbon was released through PlayStation Network.
Just recently, one of PlayStation's official account, the Middle East Twitter account, posted of what seemed to be an outlaw picture of Crash which suggested a potential comeback.
In line with these incidences, a reliable forum member from NeoGAF insiders confirmed that the comeback will be happening.
Right now, a confirmation from the rightful authority regarding the game's revival is only needed to push through with what diehard fans have been pondering on lately: release date, plot, gameplay and platforms.
