It's been a while since the world has seen some seriously funny ghost movies and it looks like it looks like it's about to change.
Sony Pictures Entertainment posted on their official YouTube page the "trailer announcement" for the upcoming "Ghostbusters" reboot. Posted on Valentine's Day, the announcement is practically a video with a very important detail: the first trailer of "Ghostbusters" reboot is coming this March 3.
Mashed with the words, "Who you gonna call?" the video also shows a massive police and military force convening in one area where they point their guns in one direction. For those who are familiar with the previous films, two things come to mind when a large police force is involved: the "Stay Puft Marshmallow Man" in the 1984 film or a building is once again terrorized by a mythical and extremely dangerous being.
According to the Independent, "As JJ Abrams did with 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' it seems director Paul Feig may be looking back to go forward, calling on our nostalgia while updating the formula...the upcoming 'Ghostbusters' reboot will feature cameos from a number of characters from the original, including Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver and Dan Aykroyd."
Unfortunately, the announcement video did not include any of the main characters or even Chris Hemsworth so fans around the world will just have to wait until the 3rd of March to catch a glimpse of the characters.
More often than not, blockbuster films release their trailers as early as six months before the release. But Paul Feig's reboot for the popular comedy film will take on a new route. When the first official trailer on March 3, fans will only have to wait four more months before they get to see the film in theaters.
